Disability and workplace behaviours

Two colleagues having a conversation over the till counter

Hosted by Accenture.

In this workshop, we aim to provide you with the skills and ability to identify unique behaviours or communications at work which might be related to a disability.

To do this, we aim to ensure your behaviour and conduct policies do not disadvantage employees with a disability that might cause them to behave or communicate differently.

We will support line managers in having sensitive conversations with colleagues who may be required to change their behaviour whilst ensuring you are able to make appropriate and reasonable adjustments which enable employees to manage their own behaviour appropriately.

This will include managing situations where the manner in which the disabled colleague is behaving may lead to them being alienated or bullied.

Finally, we will provide you with the skills to respond dispassionately and professionally when extreme incidents occur and ensure you do not act unlawfully.

Who should attend?
•    Diversity and inclusion professionals.
•    Employee relations managers.
•    HR advisors.
•    Equality managers.
We would also like to welcome anyone responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of the organisation-wide workplace adjustments process.
